so your e-mail doesn't get full
Dear Matt:
I heard about you barely made it to DC, and I'm so glad you did. Stupid snow. Fun to throw at people, but not at planes. I'm not sure how long you've been in Africa now - 5...6 days? Did you have to eat cornmeal paste right off the bat?
I borrowed your Zombie book, I hope that's okay. It's really fun to read, I'm enjoying it.
So the Ninja Turtle movie comes out March 23rd. I'm writing it down so that you'll know all the movies to rent when you come back.
My CM piano performance evaluation is next Sunday, that's where I'm playing 5 pieces for a judge. I have them all memorized, but I can't really play them perfectly all in a row, you know? So this week I just have to keep playing them over and over again. I also need to keep them good for my senior recital, May 6. It's going to be at the Conservatory. Grandma will probably take a video and you can see when you get back.
Dr. Sutro's class is super hard. The first test I got an F. This group case study we did the other day earned us a low C. We have another test coming up this Thursday on the Bill of Rights. I know you said his class is like college, but it just seems weird in the way that he teaches, and then what we see on the test. I told myself that I'd really keep up with studying for this test, but I really haven't. Among all my homework that I actually have to do for a grade, percussion, and piano (which seems to be the most important thing right now), I never study for anything. I've always been like that, I never study. Maybe a little overview of whatever, but not hardcore studying.
Friday night a bunch of us went to Kathleen's house cuz she got a new indoor jacuzzi. It's so cool, it's in this room attached to the house. The jacuzzi is all stone and the lights change colors at the bottom. We also cooked dinner and watched a movie. Then we went out driving. Therese told us that the top of Mountain had a gorgeous view. So this whole time, I thought we would just drive to the top and look out. But we went winding through the hills of Monrovia and went into the actual mountain. We parked and went up this service road and got to the top where there was an area to look out. And we could see everything. From LA to whatever's really east of us. It was nighttime and everything was sparkling. It was a little scary, so I'm glad Therese didn't tell us exactly what we were doing. She had been up there a bunch of times, so I guess she knew what she was doing.
I think that's about it. I'll try to update every now and then, so that when you get to go to town, you can read up. I wish we had telepathic powers. Didn't you and Taylor ever develop those?
Until next time.
Love, Katie
