Raspberry! There's only one...

there's just too much that i wanted to say, but i didn't feel like blogging at the time. now i do.

monday, our holiday, we had rehearsal. 9-2. it kinda sucked, but it was all right. the synth is a tricky beast.

tuesday! monica, gina and me went to cafe selah and i got a really good smoothie that took like 50 hours to make but it was worth it. i taught them how to play battleship and i whooped monica's butt! hm hm Then we went back to Monica's house and chilled, got a makeover, were amused by gina being asleep, and looked at monica's array of wonderful pictures. i will not wear that much makeup again unless i go to a masquerade. i'm not saying that i didn't enjoy it moni! cuz it was fun to see how many different things you can do to your face.
-talking about my trip: "wait aren't you norweigian? why don't you guys just go to Norweige?" HAHAH
-clueless ol' me: "what's an eyeshadow base?" ... come on, i can't be the only one.

wednesday was rehearsal 6-9, outside at the basketball courts. at first it really wasn't that bad, temperature-wise. but soon enough, the tips of my fingers were frozen and i felt so bad cuz i could barely play my part. honestly, it felt like hard something or rathers just attempting to hit the keys. synth players need to move more.

today was group lessons at my piano teacher's. i shouldnt even have gone cuz i didnt do anything. it's all the way in altadena and i'm there for an hour and a half. i mean, i enjoy listening to the others play (sometimes), but there really was no reason for me to be there. afterwards i did find porter and went down it, looking for the street that i thought last time could be gravity hill, but i had turned that one time. i think i know where it is though...at the top of porter where all those bushes were and it keeps going up then at the top it levels out. i think that may be it. oh well, we wont find out until next 10/31 =)

so our spanish teacher thinks we're all smart and can create and memorize an oral today and present tomorrow. seriously, come on.

my friend did this and i could see how freakin busy one's life can be. and mine isn't even as bad as some people.

RCC Comp this past weekend

well i didn't think i'd be there at the beginning of the year, but i was. and i'm glad. fooo shooo.

our uniforms are blindingly copper/gold. it was super sunny and hot but the nice band moms had good drinks for all.
whose idea was it to face towards the sun?

i've got videos from sat and sun if anyone's interested...whole floor show.

i wish i coulda listened to the judge's tapes. oh well, we got 2nd on saturday and 3rd on sunday but we kicked more butt the 2nd day even though mission pulled out ahead.
<3rd place with 86 pts cuz a judge was missing...full credit. 'we went from a 73 to an 86?' lol

after the show we had to haul the gear up a freakin hill...the synth is mucho heavy. it ran into the back of my heel-couldn't walk very well after that one.


i love the synth! you can really feel the groove and rock out or whatever and you can make contact with the crowd all the time. it's cooool.


the bus ride home was interesting with johnny's and erik's guns, and bazillion markers. lol


ah what a tiring weekend.

so amanda's mom took her, her sisters victoria and sarah, mary, me, katrina and her cousin tiffany to the jv comp at los alamitos (amanda's new school with lotsa lockers and a huge field). we watched groups in the lots for a while, got a wristband to watch los al to see how amanda will own them when she joins their pit. then jv came and we helped load and bring stuff over to their practice area, watched that, then went in the gym to watch more shows. a whole bunch of other people added to our group in the gym...erik, monica, darren, nathan, ryan, alicia, charles.

jv was awesome! i like the music. can't wait to hear the rest of the show.



and my buddy ross from last year was there too! (me and rich were always next to canyon getting awards last year) i thought he graduated but he's a senior, AND he's in freakin RCC...oo man. we were all like...wow.

then during the hour dinner break we went over to taco surf. it was a pretty wild restaurant...we ate in a glow-in-the-dark underwater room...yea...and check out their logo! a taco surfing in underwear! LOL i love it.



we went back to the school and watched pulse...sam, daniel, aaron AND richard are all in it! omg it was so cool seeing them all together NOT in arcadia lol.

umm then we left. it was so fun! we just kept thinking about our competition next week at RCC. ahh so exciting.

it's groundhog day

this week...ap music theory is awesome. -drummer corner-
i changed chem to 2nd and history to 4th, and i got used to all the people and now the classes are weird. i see people i've never seen before. but lexi's the ta for nowa so that's cool =D and johnny's in my class so if we ever get excused to go play with percussion 4th *hint hint* we'd both leave nowa lol

piano is gonna work out.

practice on wednesday was freezing. ooh my goodness.

ooh and i just saw the trailer for final destination. if you EVER think about seeing that with me, stop now.
