penne pasta dinner

yes, i was actually in spaghetti dinner last night. well, if you could call sitting behind the timpani and popping up when we had to play our indoor show being in the show. it was soooo boring for me, but after the first show it was a little better. me and michael played games on the program (thank god i just happened to find a pencil on the timp cart) and sam came and the senior drill down was awesome (katrina and amber = cool and original=] )

i really enjoyed playing the indoor show... our first performance...when dian started the hip hop groove the audience was like oh ho man yea! hahaha it was soooo cool. people are gonna dig it.

so it was fUHreezing last night. it felt good to be back in that red uniform...haha. not. really. afterwards we went out to denny's and monica had shorts on under her uniform so you could say she was pretty cold lol. the 6 of us squeezed into a booth and got a bunch of crap. i think katrina and monica are the only ones that got a real meal lol.

we debated forever on whether yorkshire (terriers) is pronounced yorkSHY-ER or yorkSURE. it's yorkSURE everybody, i looked it up in my dictionary for pete's sake. you all shoulda listened to me and the lam's! gah hahah we even asked a bunch of people cuz there was a lot of band kids there, and most of them said yorkSHYER. noooo! people and they were like so sure of themselves lol. this is not over.

so jimmy's like, hey michael save a piece of chicken at the end and i'm gonna cover it in tabasco sauce and you gotta eat it. so he takes the piece and smothers it in sauce and gives it back to michael and he just chugs it. eats it without anything for him... no one was paying him anything for doing it. he drank like 3 of our waters...oh mann that was grreeat.

so i got home at oh dark hour...then suuuundayy me, my cousin taylor, amanda and monica went to a piano concert at the pasadena civic auditorium. the 2 winners from the rachmaninoff competition from previous years played several songs and they were AMAZING. like, omg. we got chills. everyone should go to a classical concert something or rather at some point. if i could go every weekend...ahhhh i love it.

then we went to the yardhouse to eat dinner and that was really good as usual. then for our tip, we folded the money into a boat and plane and crumpled one and put it into a napkin that we fancily folded. so the crumpled was the ocean and we put the boat on it in the napkin, then we stuck 2 straws in the napkin and propped the plane up on it like it was divebombing the boat. OMG lemme just show you.

so the location is "ye old cock inn" (coaster) and the napkin in the cup is either flames or a building. ok we are so weird. but it was funny as hell.

when we came out of the concert it was super windy, and then after dinner it was windy, and now i'm hearing stuff outside my window flopping around. when did this happen?!

after dinner we went on a confusing adventure to find monica's family's home for a new year's party. then we took amanda home. then taylor took me home. ahh that was a fuuunn day! thanks guys!

ooooh my gosh i just got back from outside cuz our tarp thingy on our back porch just totally fell sideways so we had to tie it down and everything! i had to move my car cuz it was so close to hitting it! gahhhh

aw music mentors was cancelled today... but after school me and katrina took michael to erik's and on the way we saw an albino peacock! ooo man so i pulled over, hit the curb, got out and took a picture cuz i really needed to finish up my roll of film for photo... and then all throughout that area there was 40 billion peacocks...one was even in the road and wouldnt move, then another one jumped off the curb and ran across just to spite me. don't you people who live up there get annoyed? lol

so then i was taking katrina home and we saw monica coming out and she was going to gina's to go to cafe selah. so we're like oh let's all go so i picked up gina and went there. but they were still remodeling so the girls told me about this place called flames. it's cute inside! like you would never guess it was el monte and it's pretty cheap and gooood. the parking lot's really small though...after we ate we each got a cheap ring lol except katrina dropped hers forever under the thing on the dirty spiderwebbed floor.

so we left fully satisfied and i took everyone home. yay thanks for introducing me to that wonderful place guys! and now i have to go to cafe selah...i was so close.

well that was the funnest part of my day i guess...here's how school went.

• 1st per- him-"ok you guys have 10 minutes to go over your stuff" us-"what? huh" so our teacher gave us a test on the roaring 20s and he apparently told us that we were gonna have it but nooone thought so. but whatever it wasn't that bad.
  2nd per- walked down to la cadena and back down duarte.
  3rd per-worked on my chem notes for finals...
  4th per-ch. 6 quiz, ate some of my lunch lol
  lunch-practiced some for spaghetti dinner...need. to. memorize.
  5th per-rated other people's oral tests from last month...always get to things late!
  6th-huck finn jeopardy...our group came in 3rd no extra credit for us =(

happy friday the 13th

finally saw king kong! with jana katrina and monica. it was the weirdest movie...it was sad, funny, scary, and gruesome at the same time. but it was good!
but my tire blew out and so jana took us! although, i was a little disappointed that i couldn't enjoy the "jana's car experience" as well as people did before. =P
wow it's 9 30 i'm gonna start reading.
oh wait, today at lunch, i tried on my varsity costume! i kinda like it, except for the cardboard lines on the arms. and it has a flaming green vest. totally awesome. now i just need to try on a band uniform and i'll be all set for spaghetti dinner! see ya then

takin a little break from reading the oh so enjoyable huck finn. at least it's not due tomorrow, but the next week. book report and essay...why can't we just do the book report? did he think we'd actually work over break when he gave us two assignments?

the noise in the attic has gone away...one day we just heard this rattling like a big animal was up there. maybe a bird or something, but it sounded too big to be a rat. i hope it's gone.

well i survived 3 days straight of 7-9 hour days of percussion rehearsal. i had some great moments, but it was a really long day. my feet hurt and i just wanted to go to sleep...on the NEW CARPET. yes the band room got new carpet that will lose it's youthfulness in about 2 days from spit valves. even though it sounds like rehearsal was killer, which it could be, i can't wait for the next one.

i just heard on the news...lindsay lohan is gonna star in a movie about mark david chapman.... ?!?! did i hear wrong?
1. why make a movie about that effin madman?
2. why lindsay... is she gonna play yoko or somethin?
3. my mom brought home a life magazine that was Remembering john lennon, 25 years later. entirely made up of pictures (mostly) and stories about his life. so cool.

and those poor miners in west virginia. horrible job.

i wanted to get the layout with the most orange, which they had one, but it was just a little too blah. so here's this one...it's pretty cool.
